Polar Express Volunteers:
The Annual Kid Time Polar Express Celebration is taking on a different form this year - it’s gone VIRTUAL! Check out the details at https://www.kid-time.org/polar-express-event.
We still need volunteers to help create the magic. This year we will be providing a virtual Polar Express experience combined with a holiday take home box! All volunteers receive Polar Express boxes for your whole family. Masks are required any time volunteers are on-site at Kid Time and the Ivy School. On-site volunteers must be 12 or older. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. All tasks are eligible for community service hours. Contact Kristi at Kristi@kid-time.org or 541-772-9922 for inquiries and questions.
Help decorate for the celebration - December 18th from 3 to 7 PM. We’ll be putting up inflatables, trees and other decorations to create a holiday wonderland on the school grounds. Dress for the cold - this is outside. Hot cocoa and snacks provided. Sign-up for one or multiple hours at https://forms.gle/HxeDRhvSDAEtaGdx8.
Help hand-out Polar Express boxes - December 19th - 22nd from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Come in your most spirited holiday garb to present boxes to awaiting families. This is outside so dress warm. Sign-up for one or multiple hours/days at https://forms.gle/HxeDRhvSDAEtaGdx8. There are limited positions for each hour.
Help take down decorations - December 23rd from 10 AM to 1 PM. We’ll be taking down the inflatables and other decorations on the school grounds. Dress for the cold - this is outside. Hot cocoa and snacks provided. Sign-up for one or multiple hours at https://forms.gle/HxeDRhvSDAEtaGdx8.
Help assemble Polar Express boxes. Times and dates are to be determined over the next few weeks. We are waiting for components for the boxes. Contact Kristi@kid-time.org for more information and to sign-up.
January Work Party - Planting bulbs & trimming roses:
Help Kid Time Children's Museum and The Ivy School plant daffodil and tulip bulbs. These bulbs will provide a nice flower show in the spring and future years. We will also be trimming back the historic roses to help them provide a beautiful healthy flower show this coming summer.
Saturday - January 16 from 10 AM to 2 PM. Sign up for 1 or multiple hours.
Bring your mask (required) and gloves. We will provide tools, drinks and snacks. Dress for dirt and the weather - it could be chilly. Optional items - water bottle, favorite trowel. We will be following social distancing protocol.
